just recently upgraded my sound card to a audigy 2zs. i still have my old DTT 2500 speaker systerm but cant seem to get them to work together

i can watch DVDs in 5.1 only if i bypass the sound card and let my box decode it. problem is...when i run the creative speaker settings doing a sound check, only the front 2 speakers work

cant seem to get sub, center or rears ones to respond.
currently i have both spdif and din plugged in as well as the analog wires

is there any solution short of upgrading my speakers as well?

I recently did the same upgrade and had the same problem as you. I've only been able to get front and rear working after working on it a bit - no center. I just kept the sound test running and moved my plugs around till they were right - but since I don't have a seperate connection for center I could never get that working properly. I hope things can get better but for now I've accepted the idea that I will be buying some new speakers - 7.1 this time if the giga works comes down in price a bit.
