hello everyone!! i had 2 WD HD's one 320gb and the other 500gb. A couple of days ago - as i had ran out of space - i bought a new drive, a SEAGATE BARRACUDA 7200.11 ST31500341AS 1.5TB. The problem is that when i enabled the HDD SMART monitor utility from my mobo's bios i got an error message at start up. after start up i checked the status of my hd's using the everest 4.50.1330 edition which is the following:
ID: 05
Attribute Description: Reallocated Sector Count
Threshold: 36
Value: 33
Worst: 33
Data: 2758
Status: Pre-failure: Imminent loss of data Is being predicted
The other 2 older hd's have no problem at all. i have to mention that when i installed the hd i made 5 partitions of 501, 202, 202, 139 and 351gb respectively.
can u plz explain me what is actually the cause of the problem and what "reallocated sector count" means and how can i fix it? thanks very much in advance!!!
