Problem with sound

hi

today i was listening to a cd though my laptop and no sound came though my speakers. After restarting my computer i tryed listening to my cd again and sound came though.

what is wrong with my sound

have you checked your sound isn't muted in windows (i.e. Start -> Accessories -> Entertainment -> Volume Control)

The fact that your problem disappeared after a reboot, would suggest some kind of glitch. Unless it keeps happening, I wouldn`t worry too much.
