Alright, I've got a question for you Phantasm, lets see if you can help :) or anyone else for that matter ...

I've tried various versions of Redhat and Mandrake. And it seems Ive only had this issue when using Mandrake (upto and including 8.2 beta 3)

I've gone through and done a full install just to make sure eerything gets installed.

When I try to compile a program (SMAUG in this case), I get this error towards the end ...

    cannot find -liberty ...

and it bombs out. (If you need the exact info, I will post when I get home).

Any clue? gcc 2.96 is install, as is binutils.

Do you have these problems compiling anything???? Or just this 1 thing??

Where did you get this source code?? What does this program do?? Does it have any other prerequisites that you missed???
