Problems scanning with Dell AIO printer 962

My father is having problems scanning*:dead: .An error message comes up saying "Scan was not successful"and 4 suggestions of what to do.I've tried them all but it didn't help.

Can anybody help?

I've posted a screenshot.

Completely uninstall your printer. Then use a simple, free registry cleaner such as RegCleaner by Juoni Viourno (available at MajorGeeks.com) to remove any vestiges of the old install. Reboot and reinstall the printer, being sure to wait to install the USB cable until the printer install software tells you to do so.
