I am having some problems with my inspiron laptop, and was wondering if anyone had any ideas of what it could be and how to fix it?
When I start up my laptop, it displays only a part of the screen. It is as if you split the screen horizontal 3.5 times, but only displayed the middle section 4 times on the screen.
This happens from the very begining of boot, and it boots up just fine. So it appears to be a hardward issue.
I have an Inspiron 8600, with a 15.4 inch screen, and an ATI 128 Mb video card. I take it from my house to my girlfriends house, but I haven't dropped it, or done anything strange to it.
Anythoughts??
