Problems with the original Sims on a new computer

I have a new computer, Windows 7 64-bit, and I want to put the original Sims and all of the expansion packs on. The problem is, when I install them, the first time I play it works fine, but when I go back to play a second time it tells me that I have installed another expansion pack since I last played and that it needs to update. Then it asks if I'd like to uninstall the Sims. If I say no, it closes and I can't play. If I say yes, it completely uninstalls the Sims from my computer. What can I do??
