I have a netgear wireless modem shooting a signal through my house. Downstairs I have a netgear wireless modem in my computer and the signal is either low or no signal at all. With my dell laptop (Inspirion 6000) the signal is perfectly strong. What can I do?

You tried the laptop is in the same room as the computer?

Try adjusting the angles of the WiFi antennas.

another thought: trying moving some electrical items, like cell phones, TV remotes, portable DVD players with remotes, also a wifi sniffer will help.... (directional antenna for sniffer) = open a pringles can both ends. hold button down on sniffer and move slowly... it will find the strongest signal... works for me..and yes moving the antenna can help, or replacing with Hi Gain antennas.
