I am currently looking into buying a projector for home theater/gaming within a month. However I need to keep the grand total under $500. I am interested due to the portability/flexibility a projector offers, and I have many walls in my house that make perfect screens. I realize I will have to make compromises with the price tag, although I feel I can find one suitable for my needs based upon the projector I am currently borrowing from a family member. here is the link for the one I'm using now

It is currently on sale for $300, and while it's intent is certainly not gaming, using the VGA input actually works very well. The only real issue I have with it is brightness. I can dim lights, although the brightness with this projector can really affect the displayed contrast ratio. I should mention that if I were unable to get a better projector than this for <500, I would happily purchase this one. Although research has led me to believe I can do better.
So I would like to ask if anyone has had a good experience with any particular projector or brand, or even knows were I might be able to find good deals outside of tiger/newegg. I am not too worried about things like HDMI inputs, or speakers as I have a good solution already. Any sugestions/concerns are appreciated.
A current candidate is the Viewsonic PJD5111 SVGA 2500 LUMENS PROJECTOR.
