Proliant Server 2500 Will Not Boot, Can't Access BIOS

Hi

I just got a 2500 Server with 1G RAM and 6 9.1 Gb drives. However, it was wiped before I got it. I'm trynig to get it to boot so that I can install a server, but nothing seems to work right. Can't access BIOS, having trouble reading from disk drive, got part way through 2000 Server install and then wouldn't recognize CD.

Any thoughts. Any idea how to get into BIOS?

Please help.

John

To get into the BIOS, you need to press DELETE usually. Some motheboards need F1, F2, F8 or F10.
Just read the messages during the POST.
Check any jumper settings, which might be conflicting, like FSB / CPU multiplier.
You might also need loading a SCSI / RAID driver during windows setup.

Try checking drives / RAM / CPUs / for errors with some diagnostic disks like Hiren's Boot CD.
