I just built a new system about a month ago and have had no problems with keeping the USB mouse plugged into a PS2 port, actually I prefer it and just to disable the USB in the bios. Strangely enough the mouse just went dead, at first I thought it was the mouse going out even though it was only a month old, but then I plugged it into the usb port and it worked fine. Like I said I never had problems with this before and it struck me very strange that only the mouse port would stop working. Anyone else ever experience this?
Things that changed on my system recently: installed MP3 player software and have downloaded song sets via USB to the player. Besides that its been solid. Win2k, AMD64 3400+ Ocz platinum memory, Dragon K8 motherboard, 500w psu, 10k WD SATA hd, ATI 9800pro.
Any suggestions would be appreciated, worried the mp3 might have fried something via USB.
