PST 2003 file corrupt

I have tried unsuccessfully to recover a PST file from a endusers network share. The file is only 1/2gb but I am still getting a error message of "Errors have been detected in the file <file_path> . Quit all mail-enabled applications, and then use the Inbox Repair Tool." I can import and merge all the other files but this one is the one most needed. what else can I try? I have tried SCANPST.exe and it also gives me the same error message.
