    Hello!

I currently have 6GB of [Corsair Dominator (3x2GB) DDR3 1600MHz XMS3 Memory (8-8-8-24)(TR3X6G1600C8D)] memory installed on my system. Looking to buy another 6GB.

My current memory version is 3.1, the version I've seen to buy is 3.2a. Will this be an issue when running them together (12GB in total)?

    Thanks!

Nevermind. Have since found out that it's 'ill advised'!

Ideally you want to run a matched set of 6 sticks giving 12GB in total. They will have all been tested to make sure they work well with each other.

Mixing different manufactures, part numbers, frequencies and latency settings is not using a wise idea long term, as it can sometimes lead to stability issues.
