Quicktime alternative and Vista

  1. Hi there

I need to install Apple Quicktime for .mov files. However there isnt a version out yet for vista. Is there an alternative that is compatible with vista, or preferably - a plugin for WMP possibly that helps play .mov files?

There is a program called Quicktime Alternative that uses Media Player Classic. I'm a bit confused on how there isn't a version of Quicktime out for Vista yet, because I have Vista and I have Quicktime. (did have Quicktime Alternative first, but I was having some issues with Opera and playing trailers from Apple's website - getting real Quicktime didn't fix it.)

Thanks. My opera keeps crashing in vista btw.

Mine's been solid. The problem on the apple trailers page exists in XP too in opera. Its because they do something screwy so that when you go to click on 480p 720p or 1080p it doesn't look like a clickable link (I think it does the same in any browser).

I dunno since the last two updates Opera seems to be crashing on me, even firefox at times but less so. I'm just gonna wait for updates I guess.
