Radeon 9800 Pro display corruption

  1. I've had this problem since first startup a couple years ago and Dell refused to give me a new videocard and then my warranty expired. It only happens when I play a game that runs OpenGL or DirectX. I get very uniform artifacts in either 3 or 4 sections running down my screen. I have updated drivers, I've reinstalled the drivers. I've also been looking around at corruption problems online for a while and have never seen one that looks like mine. Can anybody help?

Get a new videocard. 9800PRO's have countless problems, more than any other videocard I can name. Said problems usually take a few months to manifest, but once they occur, the card is pretty much useless. Just go buy a 7600GT AGP. It's better than a 9800PRO, and will not break like a 9800/9700.
