Hi everyone,

I assembled my new computer ten months ago, and are having a bit issues getting the full performance. so excuse me if the answers are obvious. I don't really know what to look for My RAM seems to only want to run at 2133MHz. If I enable the XMP profile, the computer goes into a beeping loop for a few minutes until it boots.

-Can anyone help me me how to set up this system to achieve max performance from my RAM?
-Can anyone help me what to set to get a mild overclock on my CPU, without going too crazy?

Setup is:
Motherboard: GIGABYTE AB-350 Gaming 3(BIOS F22 )
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600
Cooler: Scythe STB120 Plus
RAM: Corsair VENGEANCE LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3000MHz C15
GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1060 6G DUKE
SSD:Intel 600P 256GB M.2 22 PCIe NVMe 3.0 x4
HDD:TOSHIBA 3 TB(DT01ACA300)
PSU: GreatWall 500W HOPE-6000DS

Hope someone can help me!
Thanks in advance.

Had you tried the new bios update? if that does not solve it, contact both companies. Gigabyte and corsair about the issue. others users may have solved the issue. I dont own the gigagyte b350, but I did have this issue with the asus b 350.

My RAM can now run at 2666MHz, but still can't reach 2999MHz. The BIOS is up to date.

A quick look here: https://www.gigabyte.com/us/Motherboard/GA-AB350-Gaming-3-rev-1x#sp that the system must be over clocked to get anything above 2667.

If you look here: https://www.amd.com/en/products/cpu/amd-ryzen-5-1600, the CPU only supports up to 2667.

So like you stated above, you must over clock the processor to get the speed. Right now, you are hitting the standard limits of the board and CPU. You can go here: http://www.overclockers.com/amd-ryzen-overclocking-guide/ to help you with that.
