    Dear Expert,

    My question might be kinda silly or out of loop, but I am in a dismay state and need your pointers.

    I have a Sony Vaio Laptop and I used the system recover CDs to fix some minor problems. It was fixed but I can't find my old folders and files anywhere.

    I know I have made a huge mistakes. But the big question is, is it possibile to recover my old folders and files?

    Any help is much appreciated.

    I am afraid it is unlikely that you will be able to recover your files, as a recovery cd normally re-images the entire hard drive, overwriting whatever is on it, with whatever is on the recovery image (ususally the factory configuration).
