  1. So... My audio drivers have been crashing my pc recently and I tried updating the drivers to no avail and ended up just removing my soundcard. I have an ASUS suoreme-fx rev.1.04g card and I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction to fixing this problem.

If the Asus motherboard has on-board sound, have you tried to use it?

The ASUS Supreme-fx is considered to be the on board sound for this Motherboard.

"I tried updating the drivers to no avail and ended up just removing my soundcard"...

So what was the sound card you removed?

Its not a real sound card, it was made to be a removable on board soundcard for certain asus motherboards.

Go out and buy a PCI sound card like the Creative line of cards and see if the sound returns to normal without affecting your system in a bad way

In your earlier post you said you "ran full chkdsk" but not sure what that is supposed to mean.

Did you run chkdsk /r. If you don't have /r (which looks for and fixes bad sectors) it wasn't a "full" chkdsk.

For CPU do you mean: Core 2 Duo E6700 (2.66GHz)?

What version BIOS are you running?
