Receiving message failed notifications

I have been receiving 'message failed' notifications on my Windows Live mail address when I haven't sent any! These seem to be all porn site addresses. I've changed my password but it still happens.
I think they originate from Yahoo which I terminated 6 months ago. I am completely
baffled as to how to get rid of Yahoo. When I try to uninstall it all I keep getting is
'Cannot open Uninstall Log'
I really have tried everything, I know I'm not too clever with computers and was hoping someone could offer some advice I could make sense of.
