Recently Installed RAID

My Computer running windows 2000 when i installed a new raid controller, inbuilt in the motherboard threw a wobly... and refused to boot.. it has valuable data on it... and i need to get at settings and things of that nature... Can someone please suggest somthing... i have already tried disabling onboard raid..!!

What happens when you try to boot?

Does it get past the initial screen to the Windows splash screen? If it does not then the new hardware is not being recognised and you will probably need to modify the boot disk settings in your BIOS settings.
