Are you currently having cooling problems?

lol heh have not gotten the laptop yet but i remember reading a post where to get a cooler would be best, if i plan to play games and stuff on it, and to be running it for a long time...it would be good to get one

The reason I ask is because I had one a few years ago and it was a piece of junk. It didnt really help any. So I guess I look at them as a waste of money really.

lol alright, because i was looking through tigerdirect and there was this one that got really good reviews so i thought it was a necessity to get one for the type of usage i plan on.

Well you may find that you do need it. But I would wait until you actually have that problem before buying. I use my laptops on a wooden table, never have any cooling issues. And one of them stays on for at least 8 hours a day. Just be sure to not use it on a bed, couch, or anything that may restrict the vents.

The only thing I have ever done to clean one is vaccum the opening at the vent.
