hi guys

any idea how to get rid of a built-in bitmap or replace it with a "blank" one?

hi guys

Whats this for, what kind of executable is this, and what kind of image are you looking for (icon...installer background...). Though this is certainly not my field of expertise.
You can try Resource Hacker, but I don't think that will do what you want it to.

Oh, and if you take out a random picture that the executable uses, I believe it will error out.

its mysysprep and when running it displays two bitmaps in the upper right corner, like this:

the guy takes $100 for a non bitmap or custonized version. too much in my eyes.
i can extract and replace the bitmaps with resource tuner but after that always get internal errors :)
i am not 100% sure in what language the program was built. structure looks different from what I know so far. bitmaps are stored in rcdata which makes it 5 steps to get them replaced and the new resource back in... open file > save resource > edit resource > add modified resource > save file

well, its not really what i usually do but i just wanted to see if i can do it.... its kinda learing
