I recently tried to repair my XP installation but instead it automatically installed another copy of XP on my hard drive. Now instead of my XP starting automatically it offers me the choice of a dual boot (2 copies of XP)....How can I remove the dual boot option, Please?

edit?

Here is a copy of my boot.ini what do i edit, PLEASE?

[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS.0="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect

You remove one of the last two lines. The one with WINDOWS.0 is your "new" installation, the one with WINDOWS is the old one.

You may want to delete the relevant Windows directory too so it doesn't take up space on your hard drive.
