repair xp

i want to run a repair on a win xp home edition pc because it will not boot up windows, not even safe mode, but i only have a win xp pro cd... is this a possibility or do i have to start begging people for their cd's?

ok just install pro and when it gets to where you want your windows folder rename it windows1 and then u can get all your files off then do a clean install
