Replacing/Upgrading a RAID controler

By SubKamran

  1. My motherboard has a built in Intel ICH5 SATA RAID controller. I have it all set up, but I'd like to upgrade my computer during the next two months and that will involve a new motherboard.

What I am wondering is... if I buy a controller card or use a different motherboard SATA RAID controller, will by RAID still be intact? Meaning, will I be able to boot my OS up?
