    now it happens with another game too (mafia2).....

    edit: happens with OCCT too....

    at this point we've an hardware problem... but of the gpu or of the psu?

    It can either of two, but probably seems to be more like graphic card issue. It is reasonably old anyway, so to check that theory out perhaps you try another graphic card before making a decision?
