A HP2300c Optical Scanner no longer works in my x32Win10ProV22H2 since I replaced the motherboard. I created a fresh x32Win10ProV22H2 on a new SSD, and updated its Windows and installed the scanner driver - the scanner works fine, proving that the driver and hardware (including the replaced motherboard) are both compatible with it working.
Device Manager says about the status that "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)"
I would really like to restore its working in my running (NOT freshly installed) system, and wonder what I can correct in my running system - which by the way, also prevents four other different but working scanners from functioning.
