Rivatuner Fan Speed

Hi everyone!

I have an XFX 9800GT video card. I use Rivatuner 2.24 to manually set the fan speed to 100% before I start gaming. However, while I'm playing, the fan speed automatically drops to 25% after sometime. It happens with all games. This makes the card run at about 85 C during Crysis. Is there any way to keep the fan running at 100%?

You may need to update RivaTuner if the display driver you are using is brand new. Even though 2.24 is one of the newest versions (if not the very latest) it may not fully support the driver and thus fan control. RT is usually very reliable so either the driver isn't supported yet or the driver itself is to blame. What happens if you set the fan to ~90% before you start heavy gaming? Do you experience any error messages?

I'm using nvidia GeForce driver 190.38. I see that 182.06 is probably the last database added for Rivatuner. Could that be the issue?

And I get no error messages. The fan speed just drops after a few minutes of gaming.
