Router no longer connects wirelessly to devices

I have a PC connected to my router by ethernet cable (as too remote from router). All other devices - ipad, laptops and iphones - connect wirelessly but since yesterday the wireless signal has been intermittent at best, and after rebooting the wireless signal returns , but only for a few minutes. Is this likely to be a simple defective router problem?

It is possible. Get a copy of inSSIDer to see signal strength and channel usage - - pick a channel with the least conflicts.
