Russia's invasion of Ukraine puts a damper on dream of cheaper electric cars

Hold an independence referendum again in Donbas is the only solution, hosted by a 3rd party, not by a Pro-Russian government.
Unfortunately, while the media in some countries is free the media outlets themselves are very biased and mislead people (how can you trust information from an outlet that changes the commonly used Kiev to Kyiv in support of Ukraine, or how they covered wars in other regions of the world, I guess those are not people).
I think professional journalism is dying and is being replaced by sensationalism, the goal changed from providing unbiased truthful information to getting more views.

People are also forgetting that energy prices are exploding in many places, so it's not like you'll be able to afford to charge either.......

Well, since it’s IN Ukraine, shouldn’t we be pronouncing it the way they do?
It's obtuse argument, I don't see anyone calling Japan the Japanese way, Damascus, Jerusalem, the list goes on.
It is just bias and nothing else, as such they are as trust worthy as RT.

......Neither of those show long term maintenance, and that first one is a study done in a specific area with heavily modified gov't vehicles. Heck, neither address the varying price of fuel/electricity.

Like, why did you even bother posting those cherry-picked articles if you didn't read my comment properly?
Like, why are you complaining about not being long term when the test was done on a car with 400,000 miles?

And what modifications were made by Tesla beyond factory stock?
And, how can you whine about the test car being in a "specific area"?
Connecticut has summer and winter. Very warm and very, very cold.
What the hell do you people want? Long term tests in a volcano?

Also no idea why you are mentioning Trump, he’s not the president anymore, obviously he still lives rent free in your head though..
Then examine why the righties (and you) still talk about Carter, and both Clintons, and Obama.
tRUMP stopped being President just over a year ago, and has all but come right out and said he is running again. He is VERY MUCH fair game.

Questioning why he should be brought up shows a lack of basic cognitive skills.

Because those pronunciations are in the language of the native country - and tend to be harder to pronounce for english-speaking people... Kiev and Kyiv are BOTH in native language... so why shouldn't we use the correct one?

But honestly, I feel we SHOULD be pronouncing cities and countries the way the natives do... We call "Germany" Germany only because of the Romans... It's been Deutschland for over 150 years - we really should be calling it that... Same with Italia, and Yisrael :)

And that tells me you didn't try to read either. Police don't just use a stock Tesla 😂

Edit: To be clear, it's great they can save money in their particular instance (if by getting a better deal, or using the cheaper fuel/energy), but something so narrow doesn't really translate to normal people.

"The city bought the car for $40,000, just slightly more than their other cruisers. They spent about $10,000 to turn it into a police car."

The article that YOU are complaining about and crying about me not reading it has a list of Mods done for the car. NONE involve the battery or motor:
"The biggest single item in the customization is the license plate reader"
"There are two items that applied only to the Tesla. One is a spare tire for $800. (The Ford comes with a spare.) The other is a charging station at a cost of $1000 for hardware and installation."
"The other item, charged to all cars, was a police computer."

And at the end it clearly states
"Exploiting the native Tesla tech is still a work in progress."

So I ask again. What modification did they do to it that made it something that should not allow it to be an example? What did I miss?

...Really? How about you show me places where average civilians use police cruisers, and I'll take this hilarious reach seriously lol

Average citizens that buy a Tesla is buying a capable Police cruiser. Because there is nothing different about the car that law enforcement uses. So again.
