My TV is hooked up to my S-Video OUT. During bootup half the picture on my LCD monitor is gone, and the full image is displayed on my TV.

Some screens there is no image on the LCD whatsoever, and everything is on my TV(which isn't HD, so reading the text is near impossible).

I have no idea how to remedy this without pulling the S-Video out before booting up.

Once windows is loaded, the TV image shuts off as it should and works perfectly normally.

Card is SAPPHIRE ATI Radeon X850XT. Any help would be appreciated; thanks.

Have you tried unplugging the tv????

What you describe is perfectly normal as far as i know, mine and 2 friends systems all do similar to yours.

Of course that works, but only if I unplug it before I boot up.

My friend has a system with a 9600 and his boots up as if there's no TV attached. The back of my TV is difficult to access, as is the back of my computer, so it's a pain to do it everytime I need to access the BIOS.

I was just thinking someone had this same problem and had a workaround.
