I recently learned of an easier way to go into SAFE MODE. Instead of restarting and tapping the F8 key, go to START, RUN, MSCONFIG and BOOT.INI then click on SAFE MODE. Much easier then trying to tap the F8 key. Hope this will help someone.

Easier? Maybe, but safe mode is often used in situations when that way is inaccessible.
