    still a problem!

I have an Asus A7N8X DLX rev2.0, with the latest 1008 bios. I have the same problem, so I guess this has still not been sorted out. I'm running two 160Gb Western Digital SATA drives on the SiI 3112, but not in RAID. I have recently lost 2 120Gb drives, also on the same motherboard - they were screwed up beyong repair, and making grinding noises. They failed at the exact same moment, so it wasn't the drives. This is fubar! I'm shelling out for a new SATA controller card tomorrow. SiI sucks.

In teh mean time, to stop the NTFS.sys BSOD, go look here:

I had the same thing on a Seagate 320gb drive. I can recover the date on these drives but I have not tryed putting the data back on the drives after formating yet. I will try reformating my drive on Friday
