Sata HD question

  1. I have a Sata HD and run windows xp. I was wondering if there's a way i could prevent it from showing up in the system tray as "safe hardware removal" (or whatever it's called in english, i run italian version) that is the icon that pops-up when you connect, say, a USB device. Since it's a HD i have no need either to remove it or to see it there in any case. Any clues?

    My best guess

It's a Windows notification of some kind.

    Can you take a snapshot of this ? I don't think it's your Sata,but a device
waiting to be installed. My Sata HD has no option for this loading OS.

This is pretty much about it, even if the guy wants to enable the function and i want to disable it:rolleyes: . However it applies to Nvidia chipset drivers, while mine are via. I guess i'm goin to hafta peek in viaarena's forums.

It's definitely the safe hardware remove function, take a look at this:
