There is a way to reset the systemboard... its simply a jumper on the motherboard... its usually 3 lilttle pins on there own... on a desktop machine its normally located inbetween the PCI slots on the machine.. on a notebook im not so sure.. i would need to see the diagram or detailed images of the board u have..
you could try and remove the SYSTEM BATTERY..... leave it out for bout 5 to 10 mins an see if it resets.... (possible it could work) but if u was to find the jumper, just flip the jumper over the other pin... switch on then off staright away.. then replace to its original state.
(sometime on the board there is a key) writing that tells u whitch jumper is witch...
i.e. J1 = power on.
J2 = reset. etc.....
failing that.... have the machine sent off to a technitian.....
