search engine for SMB network shares?

    I was wondering if anyone out there knows of a search engine for SMB network shares. Meaning a program I can install on either a Windows computer or a Linux computer. I have found a few, but there are no documents for installing and helping with them. I know nothing about linux, but would like to set this up for my house. Just for the record I have tried seek42 and femfind.

    Didn't know if anyone out there could either help me set it up or could recommend a different one.
