Can someone explain to me 'upscaling'. It seems equivalent to me of making something from nothing. How can you add more 'picture' and resolution that is not already there. I have a program for viewing DVD's that purports to upscale the picture, but I find the results unimpressive and I have a fair amount of processing (CPU/GPU) power available. How can this thing work?
