Setting up an added hard drive

I recentally installed a HD from my old PC into my new one. I want to use the old HD as just extra storage. How do I set it up for this? Also, how do I delete the WINDOWS folder from it? I have deleted every other folder from it, but it won't let me delete that one.

Click Start>Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Computer Management>Device Manager>plus sign next to Disk Drives then Right click on the extra hard drive and click format.
