Setup does not recognize valid CD

Re-installing Windows XP. Setup loads fine, but says it cannot read from the inserted CD or it is not a valid Windows CD. I have 2 separate OEM CDs and neither will work. One copy is brand new, never used. The CD drive reads any other CD just fine. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Are you using the OEM disc on the machine it came with?

No. I believe I found the issue though. They are 2002 versions before SP1 and the tower has SATA drive. Tried XP w/SP3 and it worked like magic. ;-)
