I have never bought a game at 60 usd/euro, my psychological barrier is 30

It's funny how much scrutiny is given to negative reviews, when absolutely none is given to positive reviews.

You can usually pick up on someone with an personal ax to grind, as opposed to a poor product.

For example, Seagate HDDs very often get horrible reviews, and the company has had some disastrous runs of particular units. I've never had a DOA Seagate, or had one fail in operation. Granted I'm not using mine 24/7/365.

As far scrutinizing good reviews, I consider short time, or first time ownership to invalidate whatever a person has good to say about a product.

However, sellers have to be blamed for soliciting short time product owners to publish quickly.

"I just got this hard drive the day before yesterday and it works like a charm, 5 stars". I ignore that nonsense, and so should others.

Truly conscientiousness buyers will update a review, for better or worse, if length of ownership causes their assessment of an item to change.

Thats why you never pay full price for any new games... Mainly when it's towards the end of the year.

You don't know what you are saying man. I tried forza horizon 4 demo and I fell in love with it. Have been playing 4 3 weeks now. This **** is worth all of the 100 I paid for it. And I only bought 5 full price games in my life time, the rest is super old things I keep playing because of the communities they have built.

All reviews are personal opinions. What one liked may not be liked by another.

There are some games that more people like and hence get awards.

After the advent of internet, there are too many reviews and most user reviews are unprofessional and are purely biased according to their preferences.

In the end all we need to do is analyze what is the description of the gameplay, rather than if it is good or bad. We may then decide for ourselves if the game will play according to what we expect to experience, regardless of what score the game obtained.

User reviews are such petty garbage.

Nah they are great. It gives power to the people. Helps keep devs and publishers in line. You just can't take them at face value. You can't distill millions of peoples thoughts into a number. But they are very helpful when you read them as you'll usually find an opinion that matches your own this gives you a better idea if you should by one way or another.

Plays the game for 30 mins then gives the game a positive review. 30 hours or so later changes the review to negative, or vice versa. - Steam reviews in a nutshell.

Then you're part of the problem, its not my fault that you acted out of your love and paid 100$ for it, I can love it too, but be more patient and wait for a sell, you don't have ANY valid reason to get upset. That's just plain Selfishness bullshit!

I am their client, and by definition I am right. I don't like them to drop the price soon after release because it upsets me. Thus, they are to keep the price high for as long as I need them to. And if I and other people are unhappy about their practices, we will not pre order their new title or buy it as soon as it is released. They will suffer low sales. They will learn their lesson and will act in our interest next time. They will learn to respect their most loyal fans.

They wont suffer low sales because of people like you, they WILL MAKE THE SALE SOONER for people like me if PEOPLE LIKE YOU don't buy or pre-order, its a cycle, and either you stop seeing the games you like, or they drop the price so people like us save them, you can choose your poison...
