Similar problem where the computer is running CHKDSK

The other day the computer was in sleep mode and the power gone out in the house. When I turn the computer on, it boot up than the screen gone black. So I shut the computer off than turn it back on and it boot than the screen will go black . Same thing over and over.

Not sure what going on and why it will not boot into windows.

Than I turn the computer on and it will boot up saying starting windows than go into DOS like mode running CHKDSK

Hi It's normal for the PC to go into chkdsk after a power failure. Have you let chkdsk complete?

IMO, it is wise to allow CHKDSK to run after ANY failure that requires a reboot. Yes it does require a bit of time, but it's better to solve any newly created issues than to allow further corruption.
