Sims 2 acting weird

    Hey guys,

    im helping my sister with a problem.

    the image attached is of the introduction screen. all those icons up the top of the image should be colored in with the colors of the Sims 2 extras icons. each icon is a new theme with new objects etc etc

    well even though all the files are still installed and all is save the game will not begin. whn trying to install an extras CD it says that it requires the original Sims 2 to be installed. But if I had all the Sims 2 and the extras installed then I shouldnt need to have that CD.

    any help would be appreciated :)

    Also I just tried installing the first CD again and it doesn't work.
