SLI with a green screen

I recently upgraded my machine with another 9800 GT card connected them together and started the sli. Problem is when the sli is on, the screen has this funky green color at random spots. When I turn off sli mode the screen returns to normal. I'v been messing around with the settings and nothing seems to work. The stranger part of it is that if i hit print screen and copy it into paint it looks normal. I've attached the picture so you can see what I mean. I have a dual monitor set up, but I don't think that is the problem. I also downloaded and installed the last drivers for the graphic cards and nothing changed. I messed around with the refresh rate but that only seem to make the green areas more "solid" or less flickery. Any help would be great! Thanks in advance!

Set up
O/S = Windows 7 64 bit
Graphic cards = EVGA 9800 GT
RAM = 4GBs
Harddrive = 2 500 GB's
Power Supply = 800 watt Thermatake
Processor = AMD 3.2 Dual Core
Mobo = Asus M3N-HD/HDMI

I would consider a cable problem

Are you sure it's random, and is paint the only program where the random green spots don't occur?

wow that was quick. I don't think it is a cable issue. I play videos and the picture is just fine, and I just downloaded GIMP and checked the photo, it looks perfectly fine with that program as well.

Hi corbett,
I had a similar situation with my crossfire last year. one of the 'layers' in my case the sky in crysis would turn purple,like yours turns green, whem in crossfire mode. it turned out to be a faulty crossfire bridge with what i assume was a broken tracer. i wonder if this might be a similar situation with one of your sli bridges.

or is that what you meant HK by 'cables'?

o crap. I was hoping it wasn't that. For awhile earlier today Call of Duty was working fine after I messed around with the monitor settings and I was hoping the problem was the monitor settings.

Well it only worked normal for a brief period of time then it all went to hell again. But good news! I fixed the green issue. I pulled the connection out and noticed the plates that connect the sli bridge were dirty. So I cleaned them out and turned on the pc to find out the games are no longer green but now a healthy shade of purple!

Well. If anyone is still interested I fixed the problem. I restored the default settings for the sli. I turned off the machine and cleaned the connection and blew dust off into the sli bridge connector. Build it all together again and turned on call of duty to see the purple gone but the green returned. Only this time it was much less. I reinstalled the graphic drivers, and cleaned more the sli connection on the graphic cards. Turned it on fixed a small resolution error, and now everything works again. Thank you HK and Red for the quick respond!
