Slow Laptop?!

    I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this topic...

    my laptop's running slow for the 2nd day today~ it's been open for around 2 days straight (w/c happened before even longer w/o slowing down), it was fine at first then it's gone slow and turned it off for around 11 hours and when i open it again it took forever on the opening "Windows XP (loading...)" and it takes forever to open an application and the videos i watch/audios i listed to are kind of choppy~ i'm currently defragmenting ~ any other advice?

    where exactly can i find these, i only know I have Windows XP with AMD Semrpon?!
