I was working on a printer today (dell 4 in 1 inkjet) and when i printed a job it had a long delay time before printing. Now the time seemed to grow with job size. The printer is connected via USB instead of centroinics. Could that make the delay?

I wouldn`t worry to much about it.

I have a canon Smartbase mp360 all in one printer scanner copier and it is connected via usb.

I have also noticed that depending on the print job that I`m doing the delay between clicking on print and the printer actually starting varies considerably.

I figured that, but just wanted to make sure nothing was up. Since i aid 2nd period for the computer teacher i go around the school trying to fix the teachers PCs. So i guess tomarrow i will just tell the teacher it is normal.

You could also do a defrag and general clean up of the hd I.E temp files including iternet temp files and cookies.
