Intermittent problem-most of the times my computer works fine but sometimes monitor will not turn on when the system turns on (in other words no video on some start ups) restarting system resolve this problem (one or two tries)
Video card is diamond viper ATI 1300XPCI-E (256MB), CPU AMD 3200 & 2gig memory, windows xp service pack2. Overall system works great but sometimes this problem keeps reappearing.
Pl. help.

usually problems of this nature are caused by the motherboard. what make and model is it? other prime suspects are the RAM and power supply.

mobo is ecs-KNI SLI Extreme, memory is by kingston,I tested each module separatley, may be I need to try a new power supply.

ecs makes products that can only be described as crappy. when you buy a replacement i reccomend a quality name brand (won't cost as much as some people think) board, such as a model from MSI, gigabyte, asus, or dfi
