Trying to fix a friends computer for him, it was recently running slow, he took it to a pro who proceeded to erase everything on it, personal files and extra programs, which my friend didnt want to happen, so he got the guy to put programs back on such as microsoft word etc, gets the pc back and now the thing won't boot up, and this is where i come in,
So the machine has power, the lights at turn on and the fan spins, but there are no beeps and i don't hear the hard drive spin at all, the monitor powers on but nothing is displayed and the light just blinks, the pc is runnning windows xp sp2, I tried starting with boot cd's and floppys but nothing happens, the cd rom has power and appears to be checked for media upon power up, anyway thats pretty much all i can say right now, I'm stumped
Any ideas ?
