Ok, I have an older Sony computer that I was wiping clean....installed a new clean install of Windows XP home premium. Problem I am having is that I can not get the Video Controller driver to work.
I have downloaded all the original drivers, and even a few 3rd party Drivers
Graphics card is the FX-5200
I have also reinstalled all the motherboard chipset drivers.
After I install the driver it says sucessful but when you restart the computer the box pops up asking you to install from disk or choose a folder. I have even gone as far as placing the driver in a folder on my desktop and it still will not install correctly.
Get the same message that the driver might not be working properly, and in device manage it has the question mark with an exlamation point.
On a side note, no DVD will show up on my DVD drive....I assume from this problem.
Any help is greatly appreciated....
