Sound card not working after OS reinstall

  1. I had to reinstall my os.After i did the install my windows media player is not working...It says there is no sound card but i know there is.I tryed to reinstall the sound card soft ware but it keeps commin up with "HKEY_DYN_DATA\config manager\enum cant be found"? what am i doin wrong...the sound card is the "pci thundering digital 5.1 "...Help pleaseee!

    Did you install the drivers for the sound card? Go to the maker of your sound card's website and download the lastest version.

    the drivers are in and working..

    I have the drivers in and they are working.My problem now is that there is no sound ,its just all static and no music or sound.Can you help me?
