The mobo is ASUS P5RD1-VM-UAYZ Socket 775
After reinstall, everything runs (ext. modem, printer port, etc) normal except sound device is not detected .
    No sound at all.

I need advice to fix this.
    Thank you

Did you go to the asus website and download the sound drivers for your motherboard? If you haven't, then you probably also need to download and install the chipset drivers.

    Good luck!

The mobo came with CD Driver and I've installed them all (graphics, raid etc). During sound driver installation, it took long and finally completed with a message "your hardware do not support".
I check ASUS website and drivers in the CD are the latest update.
I installed them first time and everything ran smooth. Then system crashed. I reinstalled the OS and succeeded. I continued with driver installation and this is where the problem started.
